A huge thank you to Empire Disposal Empire Disposal for taking time out of their day to visit students at HBS today. Students from 4L got to see how a garbage truck works and got to inspect the inside of the truck which tied nicely to their Waste and Our World unit in Science. Both grade one classes got to throw out some garbage, see the truck empty the garbage bin, hear the horns blast a few times, and have a tour around the garbage truck. This was a great opportunity for grade one students to see people who are part of their community which is being learned about in Social Studies.

Where do we start? It was a spectacular Halloween! Lots of amazing costumes, games, dancing and soooo many snacks!

Thank you to Five Mile Community Agricultural Society for purchasing all our grade 7 and 8’s this course. Students are working through the course during health class & will have a certificate for their resume once completed.

PWPSD students and staff will honour Remembrance Day with ceremonies on Nov. 8 & 9.
