Spotlight - Student Wellness - Slumberkins coming to HBS

 
This year HBS Grade 1-3 students will be introduced to this story-based program where they will meet a number of different Kins that represent different feelings and emotions.  This program will be delievered by PWPSD Mental Health Capacity Building Team.
  • In Kindergarten we will explore our feelings and begin to name, notice and welcome each feeling.
  • Our Gr. 1 students will focus on our Caring Crew, filled with Kins to help with Routines, Building Connections, Emotional Courage, Mindfulness and Gratitude.
  • In Gr.2 students meet the Confidence Crew, where they will talk about Self-Esteem, Conflict Resolution, Growth Mindset, Self-Acceptance and Authenticity.
  • Finally in Gr.3 we finish with the Resilience Crew, to explore Self-Expression, Creativity, Stress Relief and Change.
Slumberkins helps to build self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills and responsible decision-making.
